English: “This collage is based on the oldest Lithographic limestone version of Shahnameh dated Muharram, 1262 (lunar calendar). 1st Muharram of this year coincided with December 30, 1845 when this version of Shahnameh was printed, and such a coincidence, i.e., lunar new year and Gregorian new year being on the same time, is one of the remarkable points about this Shahnameh. This date coincides with 1223 of Solar Hijri calendar. This version was printed in India upon the order of Agha Mohammad Sadegh Saheb Shirazi, written by Abdolkarim Tabatabaei and painted by Mirza Mohammadali”, Farahani added.

“In this collage painting, the following handicrafts were also used: kilim weaving, carpet weaving (using natural dyes such as indigofera and rubia , other dyes from roots, blossoms, leaves, fruits and skin of plants and dyes from animals like cochineal, curly shells and minerals including clay,” finally, he said. -Sermeh Embroidery (using gold and silver fibers formed like a spring) - Termeh Embroidery (valuable fabric made of silk) - Gold weaving (fabric made from gold) - Golabatoon Embroidery (fabric whose weft is made of pure silk and its warp is made of silver and gold Golabatoon fiber) - Woodcarving - Coinage art (Naseri silver coins / Naseri silver hammered coins)
